These periods alternate 25 minutes of sitting meditation (zazen) with five minutes of walking meditation(kinhin). There is a 20-minute sutra service (chanting) on Saturday at 9 AM, and orientations are available on request after the Saturday sit (10:30 AM).

We are canceling the weekend sesshin that was scheduled for Feb 12-14 at Zen Desert Sangha due to low enrollment. We will have the regular Saturday sitting schedule on Feb 13th instead.
Please note that there is a sesshin with Pat Hawk Roshi this weekend (February 5-7) at the Redemptorist Renewal Center (7101 W Picture Rocks Road, Tucson).
The RRC sesshin begins this Friday, Feb 5 late afternoon and ends Sunday with lunch. Cost of the sesshin is $165 for a private room, $130 for a shared room, and $90 for commuters or to sleep on the floor (this can be pretty comfortable, as there are several choices of room to sleep in). There will be a Q&A with Pat Hawk Roshi at Zen Desert Sangha on Saturday, February 27th, 2010 following the regular Saturday morning sit.
