Philip Boatright, a past Zen Desert Sangha Board Member and librarian, a poet, minister, book seller, massage therapist, Kundalini yoga instructor, psychiatric technician, home care nurse, world traveler, and the embodiment of the Spirit of Christmas died on November 14, 2023. He left this existence surrounded by his close family and a multitude of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. This was a graceful exit for a spiritually mindful practitioner. Philip never met a stranger and was at home in the world.
