Saturday, October 6 from 7:30-11:00 am is our seasonal morning of "consciousness of place" at Zen Desert Sangha. The morning includes zazen, breakfast, and samu (work practice) to care for our zendo and gardens.

All members and friends of ZDS and Singing Bird Sangha are encouraged to participate; friends and family are welcome.  The schedule for the morning on that day will be:

• 7:30-8:30 am - zazen (meditation)

• 8:30 - breakfast provided by ZDS

• 9:00-11:00 - work projects

• 11:00 - closing ceremony

Feel free to come to the sit in your work clothes. There will be a range of indoor and outdoor tasks to suit all ages and abilities. Tools and materials will be provided, but work gloves are helpful if you have them.
