meditation schedule

You are welcome to come to any of the scheduled meditation sessions listed below. There is no need to contact us in advance. 

The zendo is open one-half hour prior to each scheduled meditation period. It is good practice to arrive at least 10 minutes before the scheduled time.

Remove shoes before entering the zendo. Enter quietly through the front door.

Monday evening           6:30 pm – 8:00 pm

Wednesday evening     6:30 pm – 8:00 pm

Saturday morning         7:25 am – 8:30 am; 9:00 am – 10:30 am

These periods alternate 25 minutes of sitting meditation (zazen) with five minutes of walking meditation (kinhin). Click here for more details about zendo procedures.

On Saturday at 9 am, there is a 25-minute sutra service (chanting). Also on Saturday, quiet samu (work practice) takes place from 8:30 - 8:50; participants are invited to select from a group of small tasks needing to be done.
